Asthi Visarjan in Varanasi

Asthi Visarjan is the deeply sacred Hindu rite of immersing the ashes of a departed loved one into the holy river Ganges. According to Vedic scriptures, the waters of Maa Ganga in Kashi possess the divine power to wash away sins and grant immediate spiritual liberation (Moksha) to the soul. Performing this final rite at the sacred Manikarnika or Dashashwamedh Ghat ensures that the soul is freed from the cycle of rebirth and attains ultimate peace in the afterlife.

अस्थि विसर्जन हिंदू धर्म का एक अत्यंत महत्वपूर्ण और अंतिम संस्कार है, जिसमें दिवंगत आत्मा की अस्थियों को पवित्र गंगा जी में प्रवाहित किया जाता है। काशी (वाराणसी) को मोक्ष की नगरी माना जाता है, इसलिए यहाँ माँ गंगा में अस्थि विसर्जन करने से आत्मा को जन्म-मरण के चक्र से मुक्ति मिलती है और उसे परम शांति तथा बैकुंठ धाम की प्राप्ति होती है।
